How do I buy credits or add-ons?
One-off SMS, email, marketing and AI credit packs that never expire (AI packs on every plan — they pay for the menu and floor-plan picture imports), plus the monthly Extra Storage add-on.
Open Account → Top-ups and credits. There are two different things here: one-off credit packs you buy once and keep, and monthly add-ons that bill every cycle. Only the account owner can buy either — purchases charge the account's card.
One-off credit packs
Up to three sections: SMS credit packages, Transactional email credit packages (Free plan with no paid product only — every paid plan and paid product includes unlimited transactional email, so that section becomes a simple note there) and Marketing email credit packages. Each shows a usage meter and a choice of pack sizes with the price on each card — paid plans get a loyalty discount (5% on Plus and Pro, 10% on Complete), shown as a strikethrough price; the discount comes from your venue plan, so a products-only account pays the list price. Purchased credits never expire and are only used after your monthly allowance runs out, so they carry over between cycles. They also survive a plan change: if you later downgrade to a plan without an SMS allowance, your text messages keep sending from the purchased credit balance until it runs out.
- Expand the section and click Purchase on a pack.
- The confirm pop-up shows the pack and price, and which card will be charged ("Charged to … ending …"). You can open Have a code? to apply a credit-pack discount code, or choose Use a different card.
- Click Confirm & pay — you'll be asked to confirm your password. The credits appear on your balance moments later, and the purchase lands in your invoice history as a Credit top-up.
If your bank asks you to confirm the payment and you leave without finishing, your card isn't charged and no credits are added. We cancel the unpaid top-up 24 hours after it was raised, and any account credit it used goes back onto your account credit.
SMS packs need SMS notifications — included on Plus and above, and with any paid ResoFlow product (Gift Cards, Loyalty, Tickets or Order & Pay); without either, the section shows Available on Plus plan and above alongside the product route. Marketing packs need marketing tools — Pro and above, or any paid product; locked, the section shows Available on Pro plan and above with the product route (e.g. "Included with Gift Cards — £25/month"). Standalone products include no monthly SMS or marketing email allowance — on a product-only venue, sends come entirely from purchased packs.
AI credit packs work the same one-off way — buy them here (the AI credit packages section) or, on Pro and Complete, straight from the Marketing Overview's "Your AI credits" card: 50 credits for £5, 150 for £12 or 400 for £25 (before your plan's loyalty discount), charged to the card on file with the invoice in your billing history. They're available on every plan, because three things spend AI credits: reading your menu from photos, a PDF or a web page (2 credits per file — see How do I import my menu instead of typing it in?), reading a picture of your floor plan (4 credits per picture — see How do I import my floor plan from a picture?), and the AI marketing assistant (Pro and Complete only — it stays a plan feature). Pro includes 30 credits a month and Complete 100; Free and Plus include none, so on those plans a pack is how you import. Like every credit pack they never expire and are used after your monthly included credits. See Can the AI write my marketing emails?.
Returned SMS allowance and adjustments
Owners can find SMS credit adjustments below the top-up controls. This shows recorded returns and any adjustments that need checking, with their references and dates. Use All adjustments or Needs review to filter the history. Records are listed by reference rather than newest first.
A cancelled text uses its recorded funding to work out any return. If sending had not started and its original included monthly allowance is proved, that allowance is restored to the same cycle, or returned as the same number of non-expiring SMS credits if the cycle has already renewed. Purchased-credit returns and expired-allowance returns are shown separately.
A text that our text service reports as failed — it never left for the mobile network — is returned the same way, automatically, and shows in the history as reported failed before sending. A text the network accepted but couldn't deliver (the phone was off for days, or the number is no longer in service) isn't returned: the network still charges for it.
Some older texts have incomplete funding or sending records. The history keeps those unknown facts visible; a review marker is not a confirmed amount owed. ResoFlow support can review the available evidence and record justified goodwill credits separately. These are SMS units, not a cash refund, and a goodwill decision does not change what is known about the original text.
Monthly add-ons
- Extra Storage — £2/month per GB of extra image storage (all your images share one pool — see How does the image library work?); add or remove GBs any time.
Click Add storage (or Change quantity if you already have it), review the prorated charge preview, then Confirm & charge — again confirming your password. Adding is immediate and prorated; removing (Remove) or reducing the quantity takes effect at the end of the billing cycle, and until then a Keep subscription button lets you cancel the pending removal. It needs an active paid subscription (the button reads Upgrade plan first otherwise).
If your plan is billed annually, add-ons still bill monthly: they run on their own monthly subscription on the same card, so your annual plan invoice is unchanged and the add-on appears as a separate monthly charge on your Billing page. Cancelling your plan ends that add-on subscription with it.
Where balances show: your credit balances and active add-ons appear on Account → Plan and usage (top-up balances row and the Active add-ons card).
One more thing worth knowing: if ResoFlow has given your venue something free — a comped add-on or product — it never just switches off silently. You get a "Free access to X ends on {date}" email a week before it ends and a "Free access to X has ended" email on the day, with matching bell notifications.
Free product time ends on your plan's billing day. A product given free for a number of months (for example your website as part of a setup deal) is counted in your plan's own billing months: it ends on the day your plan next bills after that many months, and Your products on Account → Plan and usage shows that date as "Free until …". If your plan is billed monthly, you can press Keep it on that product any time before then — it stays free until that day, then its usual monthly price joins your plan's invoice on that same day, with no part-month charge and nothing charged before then. Changed your mind? Press Don't keep it and it simply switches off on that day. If you don't keep it, it switches off that day after the week's warning, and you can add it back from the same page later. With no monthly plan, free product time runs the exact number of calendar months instead.
Free extra storage works the same way. If ResoFlow gives your venue extra storage free for a number of months, it ends on your plan's billing day too, and the Extra storage card on Account → Top-ups and credits shows "Free until …". On a monthly plan you can press Keep it on that card before then: your free GB stay free until that day, then £2 a month per GB joins your plan's invoice on that same day, with no part-month charge and nothing charged before then. Don't keep it undoes that. While storage is free there is nothing to remove or resize; once it is on your invoice you can change the amount or remove it as normal. If you don't keep it, it switches off that day after the week's warning. With no monthly plan it runs the exact number of calendar months, and you can add storage back afterwards (it needs a paid plan).
