How do I share my online booking page?
Find your booking page link, share it anywhere, and understand exactly what customers see when they book.
Every restaurant gets its own public booking page the moment it's set up — you just need to copy the link and share it. Customers who open it can book in under a minute, on any device, with no app or account needed.
Only Owners and Admins can change the booking-page settings mentioned below; Managers can open How people book but the booking confirmation message is read-only for them.
Find and share your link
- To see your page exactly as customers do, go to Settings → Bookings → How people book → Your booking page and click Open public booking page (it opens in a new tab).
- To copy it in one tap, go to Settings → Public booking → Get more bookings and choose any channel from the list on the left — tap the link under Your booking link and it's copied. It's the same page every time, but each card's link is tagged for its channel (Google, Apple Maps, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp or your own website), so your analytics can tell you where bookings came from. You can still paste the link anywhere else you like — email signatures, flyers, anywhere customers look.
- Check online bookings are switched on: in Settings → Bookings → How people book, Accept online table bookings must be on (it's on by default). If it's off, the page won't take bookings.
What customers see
The page walks customers through numbered steps, in your brand colour:
- When — date, party size and time — one screen. Closed days and dates outside your booking window can't be picked; if you use Food and drinks-only bookings, it opens with a Booking type choice first — "Food & drinks" or your drinks label. Times show live availability — while they load, the page says "Checking times…", and it only says a date is fully booked once the answer is in. If the chosen date has nothing free, the page looks ahead and suggests the next available date, and, when you've switched them on, offers your waitlist (today) or Notify me if a table frees up (a later date). With Let bigger parties send a request on, a bigger party can send you a request from here instead.
- Extras (or Pre-order, or Extras & pre-order) — only appears when you sell booking extras (like champagne or flowers) or invite a pre-order while booking: customers can add them or tap "Skip for now".
- Your details — email first. If they've booked with you before and your venue includes customer accounts (*Available on Pro plan and above*, or with the Loyalty product), a "Welcome back!" card offers to Send Code; entering the 6-digit code and pressing Verify & Continue pre-fills their name, phone, allergies, dietary preferences and seating preference. They can press Skip and type everything by hand instead. If the same email already has a booking for that date and time, the page warns before anything is paid.
- Payment or Card Details — this step only appears when a payment is due (a deposit or full payment) or no-show protection needs a card. See the guide below for exactly what customers are charged and when.
- Confirmation — a "You're All Set!" screen (or "Request Submitted!" when the booking waits for your approval) with the booking summary, followed by a confirmation email. When it will wait, the button before this step already says Send booking request, with a line saying you'll confirm by email.
Rich previews when you share a link
When you (or a customer) paste one of your public links into WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram DMs, iMessage or similar, a preview card appears automatically — no setup needed. Each page gets its own honest title: your booking page shows "Book a table at Your venue, Your town", the menu "Menu — …", the What's-on page "What's on at …", the gift-card page "Gift cards — …", and an event link shows that event's own name.
The preview picture is a poster card drawn for you, in your own brand colour — one card for each kind of link (your venue page, booking page, menu, What's on and gift cards; an event link uses the event's own picture). Every card carries:
- your venue name, with your logo in the corner when you've uploaded one and your cover photo as a framed picture on the right when you've set one (both under Settings → Venue → Branding);
- a details line — the kind of venue you are and your town, your star rating and how many reviews when you show reviews on your page, and your cuisine and price range if you've filled those in under Settings → Venue → Venue profile;
- one or two short true statements about that page — for the booking page, what a customer actually pays to book (nothing, a deposit, or paying when they book) and "Confirmed instantly" when you don't confirm bookings by hand; these come straight from your booking settings, so they're only ever shown when they're true for your venue;
- your link — your own web address once your domain is live, otherwise your resoflow.co.uk booking link.
A venue with no logo and no cover photo still gets a finished card — the poster is built around the name. The card carries a small "Powered by ResoFlow" line, which follows the same white-label rules as your public pages and emails — with white-label branding removal on (Complete), the card shows only your venue, never ResoFlow.
Each card is drawn once and kept, and redrawn only when something on it changes — your name, colour, logo, cover photo, booking settings, review score or link. Chat apps and social networks cache previews too, so a change can take a while to show on links shared earlier.
Appearing on Google and other search engines
Your booking page is public, so search engines like Google can find and list it — a customer searching for your restaurant's name may see your booking page in the results and book directly. This happens automatically for live venues; there's nothing to set up, though search engines decide for themselves if and when a page appears, and it can take days or weeks.
Two things stop your page appearing:
- You've turned it off. In Settings → Venue → Venue profile, open the Your public pages section and switch on Hide from search engines. This asks search engines not to list your page — anyone with the link can still open it and book as normal. It's off by default (page visible), and changes can take days or weeks to reach search results either way.
- Your account isn't active — a suspended or cancelled account's booking page isn't offered to search engines.
The ResoFlow directory
ResoFlow also lists venues on its own public directory at resoflow.co.uk/venues, each with a Book a table button straight to its page (and See menu where a menu is shown). A venue appears there only while it is actively used: at least one confirmed booking or paid order in the last 60 days. Quiet venues drop off the list and come back by themselves the night after their next booking or order; the list is rebuilt once a night, so any change shows by the next morning. Venues that have switched on Hide from search engines are never listed.
If you'd rather not appear at all, go to Settings → Venue → Venue profile, open Your public pages and switch on Don't list my venue in the ResoFlow directory — it sits right beside Hide from search engines. The line under the switch tells you whether your venue is showing right now and, if not, why. Off by default (listed while active).
Add your own confirmation message
You can replace the standard "Your booking has been confirmed." line with your own words:
- Go to Settings → Bookings → How people book and open the Your booking page section.
- Type your message in Booking confirmation message (up to 300 characters — directions, parking tips, a warm welcome).
- Click Save changes. Only an Owner or Admin can change this field.
