Why does my booking page show no available times?
Work through the checklist — online bookings on, the day's hours, online booking times, notice, blocked dates, tables, guests at once, pacing rules and booking length.
A time is offered online only if it fits every rule at once — "Every limit applies at once — a time is only offered online if it fits all of them." The quickest check is Try a booking on Settings → Bookings → Booking rules at a glance: pick the date, time and party size and it names the rule that stops it, and the times your booking page offers right now — see How do I check which rules apply to a booking?. Or work down this list; Settings → Bookings → Booking rules at a glance shows every rule in one place, flags any two that disagree under Things to check, and gives today's real last booking times.
- Online bookings are on — Accept online table bookings on Settings → Bookings → How people book. With it off, customers can't book a table online at all.
- You're open that day — Settings → Venue → Hours: the day may be Closed, a Closed for a break window may cover the times you expect, or a season may set different hours. A special date (Settings → Bookings → Special dates) may have its own hours, or be closed all day.
- Online booking times — Settings → Bookings → When people can book. A custom window may be narrower than you think, and the last start is the earlier of that window and the latest time a booking can start and still finish by closing time. On a special date with its own hours, those hours are used online instead — and a special date, or a day-and-time rule for certain times of the week (both on Settings → Bookings → Special dates), can offer only set sittings, where only those start times are offered.
- The date is bookable online — it isn't blocked for online bookings (a date's Online bookings closed, on Special dates), it's within Maximum advance booking on When people can book (or it opens early — a date's When it opens for booking, on Special dates), and the time isn't inside your Minimum advance booking notice.
- The party can book online — the party isn't bigger than your Maximum party size, or smaller than your Smallest party online (How many at once). A special date, or a day-and-time rule, can set its own party sizes online, and the booking page tells the customer the date is "for bigger parties" or "for smaller parties".
- A table fits — a free table (or neighbouring tables you allow to be joined) seats the party for the whole booking length plus any Turnaround time. Only tables online bookings may use count: a table switched off for online bookings, a room switched off in Rooms online bookings can use, a table kept for bigger parties or walk-ins (Settings → Bookings → Tables and seating), or a room a special date doesn't take online bookings in. A party bigger than your total seating can never book online — the note under Maximum party size tells you the number.
- No limit is full — Most guests seated at once, Most guests arriving every 15 minutes, the food or drinks-only limits, an online share (of which online at most), or a pacing rule (Settings → Bookings → How many at once). Most guests seated at once counts a booking for its whole length, so a 7:00pm rush can fill 7:15pm and later too. See How many guests can book at once?
- The booking fits the day — every booking has to finish by closing time, so a longer booking runs out of times sooner: at a venue closing at 10pm, the last 1-hour booking is 9pm but the last 2½-hour booking is 7:30pm. Lengths by party size make big parties longer. If customers choose their own length, lengths that can't fit are greyed out for them, and the page says so rather than claiming you're fully booked.
Times also disappear as the day fills. When a date is genuinely full, the page says "Fully booked" — and, when you've switched them on, offers your waitlist for today or Notify me if a table frees up for a later date. While the times for a new date, party size or length are still loading, the page shows "Checking times…" instead — it never says a date is fully booked before the answer is in.
If you offer food and drinks-only bookings separately, each type has its own picture: drinks-only bookings follow your Drinks-only online booking times and the drinks-only limit, so one type can be sold out (or finished for the evening) while the other still has times. When that happens the booking page tells the customer and offers a one-tap switch to the other type.
